We’re searching for a Store Assistant to support the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel stores, ensuring proper stock handling, organization, inventory accuracy, and timely distribution of supplies across Crowne Plaza Kathmandu Pulchowk.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be

● Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the hotel stores, ensuring all items are properly received, stored, organized, and issued

● Organizing and maintaining food, beverage, operating supplies, housekeeping supplies, engineering materials, and other stock in designated storage areas

● Issuing stock and supplies to authorized hotel departments based on approved requisitions and established procedures

● Ensuring all stock movements, issues, transfers, and returns are accurately recorded in the relevant systems and documentation

● Maintaining proper stock rotation using FIFO principles and ensuring items are appropriately labeled, stored, and protected from damage or deterioration

● Regularly checking stock levels, expiry dates, packaging conditions, and storage requirements and reporting any discrepancies or concerns to the Storekeeper or relevant supervisor

● Assisting with regular physical stock counts and inventory checks to ensure accurate stock records and minimize discrepancies

● Supporting the Storekeeper with preparation of requisitions and ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained for smooth hotel operations

● Coordinating with Receiving and Purchasing teams to ensure newly received goods are properly transferred and stored in the appropriate locations

● Ensuring food and beverage items are stored in accordance with required temperature, hygiene, and food safety standards

● Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper housekeeping of all store rooms, shelves, racks, refrigerators, freezers, and other storage areas

● Ensuring proper handling and storage of chemicals, equipment, and other non-food items in accordance with safety requirements

● Assisting with the identification and reporting of slow-moving, damaged, expired, or obsolete stock

● Supporting the preparation and movement of items required for meetings, banquets, restaurants, housekeeping, engineering, and other hotel operations

● Ensuring stock is handled carefully and securely and that access to storage areas is controlled in accordance with hotel procedures

● Following hotel policies and procedures relating to inventory control, food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and security at all times

What We need from you

  • ● Diploma or higher education qualification in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, or related field preferred
  • ● Minimum 1–3 years of experience in stores, inventory, receiving, purchasing, or a similar role, preferably within a hotel environment
  • ● Basic understanding of hotel stores, inventory control, stock handling, and issuing procedures
  • ● Good numerical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • ● Basic knowledge of stock rotation, inventory counting, storage practices, and documentation
  • ● Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with different hotel departments
  • ● Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and familiarity with inventory or hotel systems preferred
  • ● Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established procedures and internal controls
  • ● Good physical fitness and ability to handle and move stock safely as required by the role
  • ● Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • ● Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, storage, and workplace safety standards as required by local regulations
