What We Are Looking For
The Campus Recreation Department at Baylor University is seeking a Coordinator for Facilities and Program Support. This position provides leadership and coordination for the department's administrative operations, facility scheduling, risk management processes, and program support services. Responsibilities include overseeing front office operations, managing facility and equipment reservations, supporting departmental communications, and assisting with reporting by collecting, organizing, and formatting operational data.
Campus Recreation is a large and dynamic department consisting of 18 full-time staff members and 10 graduate supervisors who oversee five major program areas and nine facilities across multiple locations. This fast-paced environment requires frequent interaction with a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, staff, university leadership, and external partners and vendors.
A Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience is required. A Bachelor's degree and five years of experience is preferred. A combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of one another.
Additional qualifications include
- Experience in Administrative Management
- Ability to communicate and work effectively (oral and written)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated commitment to student development
- Experience scheduling multiple spaces
- Data collection and reporting experience
All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
- Oversee daily administrative operations of the Campus Recreation office
- Coordinate all scheduling and reservations for facilities, fields, specialized activity spaces, the Challenge Course, and departmental vehicles
- Manage facility calendars, staff training, and special events
- Maintain data collection and reports from three different software programs
- Maintain departmental documentation in compliance with university policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with communication regarding risk management policies and procedures at various Campus Recreation venues
- Create innovative pathways for operational efficiency in collaboration with the Financial Administrator regarding departmental orders, invoices, and payment
- Support departmental personnel policies by assisting program heads with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance of student employees (over 250)
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with university policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
