About The Role

The overall responsibility of this position is to provide school leaders, program directors and Central Office departments with support and consultation in the areas of grant development, administration, implementation, and monitoring in order to effectively manage fiscal resources directed to District programs. The Coordinator will be a single point of contact to proactively address needs related to grant administration, and will support the administration and implementation of grants by coordinating the navigation of internal systems to access funding, and implementing/executing progress monitoring systems to evaluate impact of funds on program improvement and student achievement. Additionally, this position will coordinate grant activities external to the RCSD, such as preparing external budget documents, facilitating external monitoring, and executing external reporting and compliance requirements.

Act as liaison between school leaders, program directors and Central Office departments to support and troubleshoot grants administration

Maintain superior communications with Central Office departments, schools, community partners and vendors

Provide support for navigating and maintaining compliance with Central Office processes and procedures and Board of Education policy across departments

Guide school leaders, program directors and Central Office departments in the availability of, braiding and consolidating of funds and fiscal resources to effectively support overall academic programming

Collaborate with principals, program directors and Central Office departments to maximize fiscal and human capital resources

Coordinate supports in utilization of RCSD internal software applications

Facilitate procurement of goods and services, including the development and processing of legal contracts and agreements with educational partners

Implement, monitor and evaluate program and fiscal progress as related to resource allocation

Utilize project management strategies to support projects as needed, aligned to the RCSDs priorities, District Comprehensive Improvement Plan (DCIP) and school-level improvement plans

Coordinate external program and fiscal audits and monitoring reviews

Other performance duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Grants and Program Accountability

Masters Degree

  • Five (5) years of appropriate teaching and/or administrative experience
  • NYS certification for School District Leader or School District Administrator

Evidence of or demonstration of the following essential knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Diplomacy and interpersonal skills
  • Superior written and oral communications
  • Program and project planning, development and management
  • Negotiation abilities
  • Superior technology proficiency
  • Knowledge of RCSD Central Office Departments, processes and procedures
  • Familiarity with RCSD Board of Education policy
