Job Summary

The Sr Manager, Transformation, Transitions & PMO provides strategic leadership for enterprise transformation initiatives, business transitions, and program governance across Medline's Global Capability Center (GCC). This role is responsible for driving large-scale business transformation, leading complex transitions, and establishing best-in-class PMO practices that accelerate business outcomes and operational excellence.

Partnering closely with GCC and business leaders, the Director translates strategic priorities into actionable programs, ensuring alignment between enterprise goals and execution. The role leads cross-functional initiatives, drives governance, enables organizational change, and oversees a portfolio of strategic programs that enhance capability maturity, improve operational effectiveness, and strengthen the GCC’s position as a strategic partner to the business.

Job Description

The Sr Manager, Transformation, Transitions & PMO provides strategic leadership for enterprise transformation initiatives, business transitions, and program governance across Medline's Global Capability Center (GCC). This role is responsible for driving large-scale business transformation, leading complex transitions, and establishing best-in-class PMO practices that accelerate business outcomes and operational excellence.

Partnering closely with GCC and business leaders, the Director translates strategic priorities into actionable programs, ensuring alignment between enterprise goals and execution. The role leads cross-functional initiatives, drives governance, enables organizational change, and oversees a portfolio of strategic programs that enhance capability maturity, improve operational effectiveness, and strengthen the GCC’s position as a strategic partner to the business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Transformation Execution
  • Develop and execute the transformation roadmap aligned with GCC and enterprise objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operating models, processes, technology enablement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead strategic initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring measurable business outcomes.
  • Build business cases, define value realization plans, and communicate progress to executive leadership.
  • Drive adoption of automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable solutions to enhance business performance.
  • Champion initiatives that strengthen the GCC value proposition and strategic impact across the enterprise.
  1. Transitions Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end transition programs including scope definition, migration planning, risk management, stabilization, and benefit realization.
  • Establish transition methodologies, governance frameworks, and operational readiness processes.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure seamless transfer of services, processes, and capabilities into the GCC.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment and change readiness throughout transition lifecycle.
  • Monitor and manage transition risks, dependencies, and escalation processes to ensure successful outcomes.
  1. Program Management Office (PMO)
  • Establish and drive PMO governance standards, methodologies, tools, templates, and performance disciplines.
  • Oversee a portfolio of strategic programs, ensuring alignment, prioritization, and execution excellence.
  • Define success metrics, governance forums, benefit tracking mechanisms, and executive reporting structures.
  • Lead steering committee governance, executive reviews, risk management, and decision support processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in program delivery through adoption of best practices, analytics, and AI-enabled project management capabilities.
  1. Stakeholder & Executive Engagement Support
  • Build trusted relationships with senior business leaders across functions and geographies.
  • Act as an ambassador for the GCC, highlighting capabilities, outcomes, and strategic contributions.
  • Prepare executive reviews, strategic planning sessions, and transformation governance forums.
  1. Organizational Excellence & Capability Building
  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs), OKR processes, and transformation performance reviews.
  • Conduct capability assessments and develop roadmaps to strengthen transformation and PMO maturity.
  • Build high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
  • Drive adoption of modern ways of working, agile practices, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in transformation, transitions, PMO, management consulting, strategic programs, or Global Capability Center environments.
  • Proven leadership experience delivering complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives.
  • Strong program and portfolio management expertise, including governance, risk management, and value realization.
  • Demonstrated success leading business transitions, operating model changes, or GCC expansion initiatives.
  • Experience working with executive leadership and influencing senior stakeholders globally.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, process improvement, and change management capabilities.
  • Experience leveraging technology, automation, AI, and analytics to drive business outcomes.
  • Manufacturing, healthcare, supply chain, distribution, or shared services experience preferred.
