About The Role

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Develop, own, and maintain a comprehensive Material Management Plan for assigned projects, linking every purchase requirement to project need-by dates, supplier lead times, approval cycles, and logistics milestones.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineering teams to align procurement activities with project schedules and engineering release plans.
  • Plan procurement timing by considering supplier lead times, internal approval processes, and transportation requirements to support project delivery goals.
  • Manage all pre-order planning activities, including requisition planning, scheduling, and readiness reviews.
  • Expedite open purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to support timely order confirmation and delivery.
  • Monitor and coordinate material movement activities, including inbound shipments, logistics planning, customs clearance, and site delivery readiness.
  • Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to facilitate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of intercompany and buyout materials while ensuring goods receipt activities are completed accurately.
  • Maintain accurate material tracking tools, including purchase order status, estimated delivery dates, and risk registers.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on material performance, delivery metrics, and project-related risks to key stakeholders.
  • Identify potential material supply risks, including supplier delays, extended lead times, and engineering changes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop mitigation plans.
  • Evaluate the material impact of project changes and update planning requirements accordingly.
  • Support quality-related activities by coordinating inspection schedules to align with project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with Emerson policies, business ethics standards, international trade requirements, and applicable business unit procedures.
  • Analyse material planning data and performance metrics to improve visibility, decision-making, and project outcomes.
  • Resolve complex material planning challenges through proactive coordination, data analysis, and risk management.

For This Role, You Will Need

  • Strong experience in material planning, production planning, scheduling, and problem-solving within a project-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of supplier lead times, approval workflows, and import/export logistics processes.
  • Demonstrated experience expediting orders and collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve supply challenges.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to track material status, delivery timelines, and project risks through data-driven reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across a matrix organisation.
  • Understanding of material planning requirements supporting industrial projects.
  • Flexibility to travel as required to support business needs.
  • Experience supporting industries such as oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, valves, automation, manufacturing, or other project-based sectors is beneficial.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

  • Degree in Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation systems, custody transfer metering systems, analyser systems, industrial automation projects, or similar technical environments.
  • Experience in material planning, production planning, project coordination, supply chain execution, or related operational roles.
  • Professional certifications in supply chain, materials management, or production planning such as APICS CPIM or CSCP are advantageous.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities across multiple projects simultaneously.
