About The Role
Our leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced and skilled Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join its multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and associated structures, including dentoalveolar conditions, facial trauma, oral pathology, and complex maxillofacial cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive consultations, examinations, and clinical assessments.
- Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for oral and maxillofacial conditions.
- Perform routine and complex dentoalveolar surgical procedures, including removal of impacted teeth.
- Manage complicated dental extractions, oral infections, cysts, benign lesions, and other oral pathologies.
- Evaluate and manage facial trauma and maxillofacial injuries within the approved scope of practice.
- Perform orthognathic, reconstructive, implant-related, and other appropriate maxillofacial procedures based on clinical expertise.
- Evaluate patients using appropriate diagnostic investigations, including dental radiographs, CBCT, CT, and MRI.
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care and manage surgical complications.
- Assess and manage oral and maxillofacial emergencies.
- Discuss diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes with patients and their families.
- Collaborate with dentists, orthodontists, prosthodontists, ENT specialists, plastic surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and operative documentation.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and quality-assurance standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development.
Requirements
Requirements
- BDS, DDS, DMD, MBBS, or equivalent recognized qualification appropriate to the specialty.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery or an equivalent recognized specialty qualification.
- Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
- Strong experience in oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures.
- Experience in dentoalveolar surgery, facial trauma, oral pathology, and complex surgical cases.
- Strong clinical assessment, surgical decision-making, and patient-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
