About The Role

Our leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist Family Medicine physician to provide comprehensive primary and continuing care to patients across different age groups. The role involves preventive care, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions, health screening, and coordination with other specialties. Family Medicine is an established UAE licensing title under the applicable professional qualification framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive consultations, clinical examinations, and health assessments.
  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Provide preventive healthcare, health screening, vaccination, and lifestyle counselling.
  • Manage common conditions including diabetes, hypertension, respiratory illnesses, gastrointestinal disorders, infections, and minor acute conditions.
  • Monitor patients with chronic diseases and develop appropriate long-term management plans.
  • Review and interpret laboratory investigations, imaging, and other diagnostic results.
  • Provide appropriate treatment, prescribe medications, and monitor clinical response.
  • Identify cases requiring specialist intervention and coordinate appropriate referrals.
  • Provide continuity of care and follow-up for patients.
  • Counsel patients regarding disease prevention, nutrition, lifestyle modification, and overall health.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.
  • Work collaboratively with specialists, nurses, allied health professionals, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, patient-safety initiatives, and continuing medical education.
  • Follow applicable clinical guidelines, facility policies, and UAE healthcare regulations.

Requirements

Requirements

  • MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine .
  • Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
  • Strong experience in comprehensive primary and family healthcare.
  • Good knowledge of preventive medicine and management of acute and chronic diseases.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
