About The Role

Purpose

To develop, maintain, and support reliable backend applications and services that enable business capabilities and digital products in accordance with established engineering and security standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services and APIs in Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.
Translate functional and technical requirements into working, tested software.
Integrate services with databases, internal platforms, and external partner systems.
Work with event streaming and messaging (Kafka, MQ) under guidance.
Write clean, maintainable, testable code in line with engineering standards.
Perform unit testing, debugging, and defect resolution.
Apply secure coding practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection requirements.
Support deployment and monitoring on containerized platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes) through established CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and squad ceremonies.
Support production troubleshooting under the guidance of senior engineers.
Maintain relevant technical documentation.
Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and application quality.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2 years of backend development experience.
Working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL, and Git.
Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and debugging fundamentals.
