About The Role

Job Summary:**

CROWN Bevcan France SAS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations and lead a team of production employees during their assigned shift. This role ensures efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and a safe working environment.

Job Responsibilities:**

  • Manage and supervise all production activities during the assigned shift, ensuring targets are met regarding output, quality, and efficiency.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production operators, providing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all company policies, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
  • Monitor production processes, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions promptly to minimize downtime and waste.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, quality assurance, logistics) to ensure smooth production flow and resolve operational challenges.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate production reports, including output, scrap rates, and attendance records.
  • Train new employees on standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and reduce costs.
  • Handle minor disciplinary issues and escalating more serious concerns to higher management.

Job Qualifications:**

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the packaging industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent understanding of production processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in French and English.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
