Job Title: Junior Manager GT Stock In Trade Data

Purpose of Role

Junior Manager / SME GT Stock In Trade Data role is based in India. The purpose of this role is

  • The role is designed to support and own the operational execution, governance, controls, reporting, and continuous improvement of the Stock in Trade (SIT) Reconciliation process across Global Travel customers and KCGs.
  • Ensure smooth and successful delivery of short- and long-term plans related to SIT reconciliations, customer balance validations, data quality controls, system uploads, reporting accuracy, and reconciliation governance.
  • Become the process owner and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the SIT Reconciliation process. Ensure reconciliation cycles, validations, uploads, and reporting activities are delivered accurately, efficiently, on time, and in line with Commercial Finance and business requirements.
  • Act as the bridge between Commercial Finance, FP&A, Account Managers, Depletion Teams, TradeEdge teams, and system stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution, approvals, and accurate reconciliation outcomes.
  • Provide analytical rigor, operational governance, and business insight to support inventory transparency, stock risk visibility, depletion alignment, and commercial decision-making.
  • Drive adherence to controls, audit readiness, reconciliation documentation standards, and process compliance requirements in line with year-end audit expectations.
  • Continuously improve reconciliation frameworks, reporting structures, validation controls, and onboarding governance for new KCGs and customers.
  • Ensure smooth business-as-usual operations, timely reconciliation closures, issue escalation management, and continuous stakeholder communication.
  • Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management, ownership mindset, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and leadership capability while handling cross-functional teams and timelines.
  • Perform any additional Commercial Data Systems or SIT Governance-related tasks as requested by the Line Manager.

Responsibilities and Skills Required

  1. SIT Reconciliation Operations & Governance
  • Own and manage end-to-end SIT Reconciliation cycles across Global Travel KCGs.
  • Validate receipt and completeness of:
  • Stock on Hand (SOH) files
  • Depletion data
  • Shipment data
  • Stock on Water (SOW) files
  • Ensure reconciliations are initiated only after:
  • Previous cycles are closed
  • Required data sources are received and validated
  • Maintain and regularly update SIT Reconciliation Calendar and Status Tracker.
  • Ensure proper folder setup, audit documentation, and file governance for each KCG reconciliation cycle.
  • Manage reconciliation workflows for multiple KCGs simultaneously while maintaining delivery timelines and controls.
  1. Reconciliation Preparation & Validation
  • Prepare reconciliation workbooks using:
  • Customer balance data
  • Depletion actuals
  • Shipment data
  • Stock on Water inputs
  • Validate and reconcile:
  • Start Stock
  • End Stock
  • Shipments
  • Depletions
  • Customer-reported inventory balances
  • Perform EU conversions using approved converter templates.
  • Identify and resolve:
  • Reporting brand mismatches
  • Product mapping issues
  • SOW discrepancies
  • Data alignment gaps
  • Ensure reconciliation validations are completed accurately before circulation to Commercial Finance and FP&A teams.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on reconciliation variances and work with stakeholders for remediation.
  1. Anaplan Uploads & Data Maintenance
  • Prepare uploader files for approved customer balance adoption.
  • Complete SIT balance uploads into Anaplan and validate upload accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot upload failures, incorrect balance scenarios, and partial product-level corrections.
  • Ensure reconciliation uploads align with approved customer balances and audit requirements.
  • Maintain data integrity across:
  • Anaplan
  • DDH
  • GTME dashboards
  • Reconciliation workbooks
  1. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
  • Act as a key point of contact between:
  • Commercial Finance Managers (CFMs)
  • FP&A teams
  • Account Managers
  • Depletion Teams
  • TradeEdge Support teams
  • Commercial stakeholders
  • Coordinate approvals, validations, escalations, and reconciliation closures.
  • Drive timely follow-ups on pending customer responses, approvals, and data clarifications.
  • Support audit and governance discussions with commercial and finance stakeholders.
  • Lead and facilitate working sessions to resolve reconciliation variances and operational issues.
  1. Data Quality, Controls & Audit Readiness
  • Ensure adherence to reconciliation controls, governance standards, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain complete documentation for:
  • Customer approvals
  • Validation evidence
  • Upload confirmations
  • Reconciliation sign-offs
  • Drive data quality improvement initiatives across reconciliation and depletion processes.
  • Identify recurring process gaps and recommend sustainable control improvements.
  • Ensure readiness for internal and external audit reviews.
  1. Reporting, Analysis & Continuous Improvement
  • Generate operational insights on:
  • Stock behaviour
  • Inventory accumulation risks
  • Stop-selling risks
  • Artificial stock build-up
  • Customer inventory anomalies
  • Support business teams with analytical insights from reconciliation outcomes.
  • Continuously improve:
  • Reconciliation templates
  • Validation mechanisms
  • Reporting structures
  • Process automation opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation timelines and improve operational efficiency.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in Commercial Data Systems, SIT Reconciliation, or Depletion Operations
  • Experience working with integrated systems such as:
  • Anaplan
  • DDH
  • SAP - ECC
  • SAP - BW
  • Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of stock reconciliation, inventory management, and depletion reporting
  • Advanced Excel knowledge including:
  • Pivot tables
  • Lookups
  • Data validations
  • Reconciliation reporting
  • Experience managing stakeholder communication across finance, commercial, and technical teams
  • Strong governance, documentation, and audit control mindset
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in FMCG or Commercial Finance operations
  • Exposure to TradeEdge and GTME platforms
  • Knowledge of SOH, SOW, KCG, and depletion data structures
  • Experience with Power BI or reporting dashboards
  • Exposure to DDH and data ingestion processes
  • Understanding of mapping logic, EU conversions, and product hierarchies
  • Familiarity with audit and compliance processes
  • Experience working in Agile or continuous improvement environments

Qualifications & Experience Required

Functional Capabilities

  • 5–7 years of experience in Commercial Data Systems, SIT Reconciliation, Depletion Operations, or Commercial Finance support roles
  • FMCG industry experience preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management, coordination, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and business English proficiency
  • Self-driven personality with strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight timelines effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across global teams
  • Experience handling audit-sensitive operational processes
