About the Role

The Finance Manager – Commercial Finance Business Partner serves as the primary finance partner for an assigned Commercial franchise, providing financial guidance, planning, forecasting, and strategic decision support. This role partners with Commercial leadership to drive business performance, optimize investments, and ensure sound financial stewardship through data-driven insights and proactive business partnership. _

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to)

  • Lead the assigned franchise’s annual budget, Quarterly Latest Estimate (LE), monthly forecasting, and financial planning processes, coordinating inputs and recommendations across Finance and Commercial stakeholders
  • Conduct monthly business reviews, analyze Budget vs. Actual (BVA) results, identify financial risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve business performance
  • Partner with Commercial leaders to optimize resource allocation and ensure spending aligns with business priorities and financial objectives
  • Collaborate with Accounting on month-end close activities, including accrual reviews and financial validation
  • Drive continuous improvement by challenging existing processes and methodologies and advancing reporting standardization, process automation, Power BI capabilities, and financial modeling tools and approaches
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced Finance colleagues and lead or participate in cross-functional projects that support Commercial growth and operational excellence. Perform other duties and strategic initiatives as assigned

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in finance, accounting or related field and 6+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience including progressive experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Finance Business Partner roles; OR Master’s degree or MBA with 4+ years of relevant experience. Biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry experience preferred
  • CPA or CFA preferred
  • Experience partnering with Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Operations, or comparable business functions
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and business decision support
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with financial planning ERP, reporting, and visualization tools such as Planful, SAP, Power BI, Hyperion, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial analysis into actionable business insights and recommendations
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and relationship management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and effectively communicate financial concepts to finance and non-finance audiences
  • Ability to understand the broader business picture and assess the impact of financial decisions across multiple departments and functions. Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities, identify opportunities for process improvement, and deliver high-quality work with accuracy and efficiency. Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to handle confidential information with appropriate discretion and professionalism

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $119,700.00-$164,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
