Job Description

  • Assist the Chef and kitchen team in preparing and cooking food according to established recipes and hotel standards.
  • Prepare ingredients, including washing, cutting, portioning, and basic food preparation.
  • Ensure all food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils are clean and properly maintained.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards at all times.
  • Maintain proper storage and labeling of food items to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
  • Support the kitchen team during daily operations, buffet services, banquets, and special events as required.
  • Ensure food presentation and quality meet the standards of a luxury hotel.
  • Assist with receiving and checking food supplies and report any quality or quantity issues to the Chef.
  • Work efficiently as part of the kitchen team and maintain a positive and professional attitude.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Management.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or professional kitchen is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Passionate about cooking and committed to delivering high-quality food.
  • Hospitality or culinary education is an advantage.
