Senior Associate / Assistant Vice President, Group Product Control - Treasury Systems Accounting, Group Finance

About The Role
Business Function
Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions – whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.
The bank is also a certified Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) for the Singapore Qualification Programme by the Singapore Accountancy Commission and an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Approved Employer.
Responsibilities
- The candidate will work in the Treasury Systems Accounting team within Group Product Control.
- The team is responsible for setting and maintaining the accounting configuration for treasury products in vendor and inhouse systems. The team also works with Technology in the design and testing of inhouse accounting systems.
- The candidate will partner in consultation with Business Analysts, Technology and other Finance stakeholders to understand end-to-end product life cycle, events and ensuring that all accounting requirements are fulfilled and documented.
- The candidate will participate in UATs to ensure that the system solutioning conforms to requirements.
- The candidate will also help in troubleshooting production accounting issues.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting will be an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related role in the Banking industry.
- Knowledge of Bank treasury products and its associated accounting entries.
- Familiarity with Murex is a plus.
- Able to understand simple SQL. Most likely comfortable running simple queries in database clients and/or have experience building own MS Access/Qlikview/Tableau.
- Proficient in Microsoft office, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Comfortable with dealing with large data sets.
- Is curious and driven to understand the underlying logic that drives a report/process.
- Able to document and communicate effectively.
