[What the role is]

As an Associate Lecturer with the School of Business, you will facilitate authentic and engaging learning experiences that prepare students for the workplace through learner-centred and industry-relevant education.

[What you will be working on]

Facilitate engaging and experiential learning using Republic Polytechnic's Problem-Based Learning (PBL) pedagogy and other learner-centred approaches.
Deliver lessons and facilitate learning in accordance with approved curricula, assessment requirements and academic standards.
Assess students' learning through assignments, projects, presentations and other assessment methods, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional development, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with Module Chairs and academic teams to ensure effective curriculum delivery and continuous enhancement of the student learning experience.
Teach and contribute to one or more of the following areas:

o Financial and Management Accounting
o Audit & Assurance
o Taxation
o Sustainable Finance ESG & Sustainability Reporting
o AI & Digital Technologies in Accounting
o Risk, Regulatory Compliance and Corporate Governance
o Business Law and Company Law
[What we are looking for]

Relevant qualifications in accounting, or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA Singapore, ICAEW, CPA Australia or equivalent are preferred.
At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in accounting, audit, taxation, sustainability reporting, risk management, or regulatory compliance.
Ability to teach both Pre-Employment Training (PET) students and Continuing Education and Training (CET) adult learners.
Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
Experience in teaching, training or coaching will be an advantage.
