Business Function

Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions – whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.

The bank is also a certified Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) for the Singapore Qualification Programme by the Singapore Accountancy Commission and an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants(ACCA) Approved

Role Purpose

Support Consumer Banking Group Finance across business performance, financial management, governance and operational excellence. The role may support Cards, Payments, Unsecured Loans across the Consumer Bank, while improving the efficiency and control of recurring finance processes through data, automation and AI-enabled tools.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Business Finance support for assigned portfolios, which may include Cards, Payments, Unsecured Loans.
Own the end-to-end month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate accounting entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules and management reporting deliverables.
Prepare and enhance management of dashboards, KPI reporting, business reviews and presentation materials, reducing manual effort and review iterations while improving decision support.
Support financial planning, performance analysis, forecasting, assessing and reviewing business events, and ad hoc management reviews.
Drive governance, risk and control activities, including audit follow-ups, control attestations, issue tracking and remediation monitoring, with clear ownership and timely closure.
Partner stakeholders across Finance, Business, Operations, Technology, Risk and Audit to deliver timely outcomes and resolve issues.
Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and transform finance processes through data, analytics, workflow automation, and generative AI solutions.
Design, test and implement scalable, well-controlled process improvements that enhance data quality, reduce manual effort, improve productivity and strengthen decision support, enabling resources to be deployed more effectively towards business partnering, stakeholder engagement, business insights and strategic priorities.

Requirements

Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or a related discipline, with relevant experience in Business Finance, financial reporting, management accounting, controls, governance or business management within the financial services industry.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, performance management, planning and control processes. Experience supporting Consumer Banking businesses, products or expense management is advantageous.
Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Technology- and AI-savvy, with a demonstrated interest in applying automation, analytics and generative AI tools to improve finance processes and decision-making.
Able to identify opportunities, redesign processes, evaluate solutions, measure business benefits and drive sustainable adoption.
Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, low-code solutions or similar analytics and automation platforms is advantageous.
Understands data quality, validation, access controls, documentation and the responsible use of AI in a banking environment.
