About The Role

As a Machinist Level 3 here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in precision machining operations, ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet exact specifications. You will utilize your advanced machining skills to operate and program complex machinery, troubleshoot issues, and maintain optimal workflow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will report directly to our Production Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Boyne City, MI location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact product quality and manufacturing efficiency, contributing directly to Honeywell’s commitment to delivering reliable and innovative solutions to our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate and program CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and work instruction specifications
  • Perform setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting of machining equipment to ensure optimal performance and quality output
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or deviations to supervisors promptly.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5+ Years of experience with doing set ups, operation & troubleshooting of CNC Mills and or Lathes in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part quality
  • Familiarity with machine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain productivity

WE VALUE

  • College degree or technical certification in machining or manufacturing technology
  • Experience operating or programming a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
  • Knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing production priorities
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
