About The Role

You will provide support to the Danaos Shipping accounting department by administering daily accounting tasks.

Be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s accounting processes
Process invoices data entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
Communicate with suppliers to confirm the balance
Communicate with all departments to ensure the collection of invoices
Assist on updating accounts payable and performing bank reconciliations
Contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and be fully aware of its processes
Assist on expenses review and reporting

The ideal candidate should have

Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field
Previous experience in Accounting Department of a shipping company
Computer literacy. Familiarity with Danaos ERP will be considered an asset
Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
