About The Role

The work study student also assists with event operations for Classical Education programs, including checking in participants, setting up and breaking down event spaces, and preparing event materials (e.g., creating name tags and other pre-event materials as assigned).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Arrive on time and prepared for all scheduled events
Interact courteously and professionally with the public, K-12 students, and classical education teachers
Perform assigned duties efficiently and provide helpful, responsive service to event attendees, Lifelong Learners, and instructors (check-in participants, organize rooms, support the Lifelong Learning director and classical education director)
Follow directions and instructions from the Lifelong Learning Director and classical education administrators
Report to and remain at assigned event locations, including designated Flagler parking lot assignments, for the duration of scheduled shifts
Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to report to assigned event locations on time and remain for the full duration of the shift
Ability to interact respectfully and professionally with the public, students, and teachers
Ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner
Ability to follow instructions from the Director and classical education administrators with minimal supervision
Ability to remain in a specific assigned area (e.g., Flagler parking lot) for extended periods
Ability to manage and shift between multiple tasks as event needs change
