Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the team at Territory Surgical Supplies as a Purchasing Administrator.

As one of the Northern Territory's primary product distributors, we are looking for an organised and proactive person to support our purchasing and inventory activities. Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, you'll help ensure products are ordered, delivered and available when our customers need them.

This is a busy and varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, continuous improvement and personal development, making it a great opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career.

Job Description

Main duties and responsibilities will include

  • Creating and managing purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Monitoring incoming deliveries and following up on order progress and ETAs.
  • Work closely with the Operations team & vendors to resolve incoming purchase order issues such short supply, incorrect supply and damaged stock.
  • Maintaining inventory levels and reviewing stock trends to support customer requirements.
  • Assisting with stock planning and helping identify excess or slow-moving inventory.
  • Communicating supplier updates, pricing changes and product information to internal stakeholders

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate

  • Experience in administration, purchasing, inventory, customer service or a similar role.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing competing priorities.
  • Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders, demonstrating tenacity, active listening and a collaborative style.
