Join our team as a Procurement Project Leader PV!

Play a key role in leading procurement transition projects across Garrett's global organization. In this role, you will take full ownership of project execution from sourcing transfer initiation through successful industrialization and production readiness, ensuring uninterrupted supply, timely milestone achievement, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for procurement transition projects, taking full end-to-end ownership of project execution and ensuring successful delivery within established timelines.
  • Lead procurement transition projects while ensuring business continuity, preventing material shortages, customer impact, and production line stoppages.
  • Proactively drive corrective and preventive actions (ICA/PCA) and escalate risks when necessary.
  • Establish and lead cross-functional project teams, including Commodity Management, GBE Buyers, Engineering, Supplier Quality Development (SQD),
  • Program Management, and Quality teams, ensuring effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct project kick-off meetings, define governance and Management Operating System (MOS) requirements, and develop risk assessment and mitigation plans to ensure milestone achievement.
  • Develop and maintain project timing plans and tracking tools covering all impacted components, business channels (OEM/OES/IAM), and product groups (LVD/CV/LVG), while ensuring completion according to standard lead times.
  • Coordinate sourcing and supplier transition activities with GBE Buyers, including AWL management, purchase orders, supplier agreements, and overall progress monitoring.
  • Lead regular project reviews with suppliers and internal stakeholders, actively managing escalations and resolving issues that may impact project milestones, quality, cost, or delivery objectives.
  • Own procurement project reporting and ensure timely, accurate updates of project status, milestones, part numbers, and deliverables within company dashboards and IT systems.
  • Apply reverse-planning methodologies and continuous monitoring practices to drive successful end-to-end project execution and on-time project completion.

What We Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Approximately 5 years of relevant experience, with preference for 8-15 years in Direct Procurement, Program Management, or Project Management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including Casting, Machining, Stamping, Investment Casting, and Precision Machining.
  • Strong understanding of automotive project milestones and industrialization processes, including ODT, PPAP, and SOP.
  • Excellent project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex stakeholder networks.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, data analysis, dashboard development, and KPI reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance.
  • Fluent in English.
