About The Role

  • Receive incoming materials and verify quantity, quality and specifications against Purchase Orders, invoices and delivery challans.
  • Prepare and maintain GRN/Material Receipt documents and update ERP/system records.
  • Ensure proper identification, labeling, binning and systematic storage of materials.
  • Issue materials only against authorized requisitions/approved documents.
  • Maintain accurate records of material receipts, issues, transfers, returns and closing stock.
  • Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile physical stock with ERP/system records.
  • Monitor minimum, maximum and reorder stock levels and highlight shortages or excess inventory.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock/inventory reports.
  • Maintain proper documentation, stock registers, issue slips, return notes and other store records.
  • Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, Production/Project and other departments for material requirements.
  • Follow FIFO/FEFO wherever applicable and ensure proper preservation of materials.
  • Identify damaged, obsolete, excess or slow-moving materials and report the same to management.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping, safety and security of the store.
  • Support internal/external stock audits and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs and inventory control procedures.
  • Handle material dispatch, transfers and related documentation as required.

Required Qualification

  • Graduate / Diploma in any discipline.
  • Diploma/Certificate in Material Management or Inventory Management will be an advantage.

Experience & Skills

  • 2–5 years of experience in Store Keeping, Warehouse or Inventory Management.
  • Good knowledge of inventory and material management procedures.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/inventory software such as SAP, Tally, Oracle, etc.
  • Knowledge of GRN, stock reconciliation, material issue/return and inventory documentation.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain systematic records and work within deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety and material-handling practices.
