About The Role

Embark on a journey within MCB’s Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) SBU - Strategic Office. The Strategic Office plays a central role in driving CIB’s strategic agenda, strengthening execution discipline and coordinating key cross-functional initiatives across the SBU and the wider value chain. As part of the Business Enablement section, you will work closely with CIB’s clusters to support the delivery of strategic, regulatory and operational priorities.

Job vacancy: Business Enablement Lead

As Business Enablement Lead , you will support the Team Leader - Business Enablement in translating CIB’s strategic priorities into structured and disciplined execution. You will help coordinate strategic and operational initiatives, support performance tracking and governance routines and work closely with stakeholders across the CIB value chain to ensure alignment, follow-through and timely escalation where required.

In this role you will;

  • Support strategy and planning routines, including strategy workshops, annual budgeting and target-setting exercises;
  • Translate agreed priorities into clear action plans and coordinate delivery of strategic, operational and regulatory initiatives across relevant business units;
  • Support the intake, assessment and prioritisation of initiatives to ensure alignment with CIB strategic objectives and governance requirements;
  • Help identify operational gaps, dependencies and risks, and propose practical solutions to improve effectiveness and business readiness;
  • Promote standardisation, discipline and adoption of best practices across governance, reporting and execution routines;
  • Support performance management and governance routines through quarterly reviews, balanced scorecards, dashboards and business review discussions;
  • Work closely with business and support functions to drive alignment, facilitate communication, resolve issues and manage dependencies across initiatives;
  • Support CIB communication routines and assist Global Heads with initiative updates, decision packs and follow-up actions;
  • Ensure that progress, risks and decisions required are tracked and escalated through the appropriate channels;
  • Contribute to process updates, regulatory follow-ups and change management efforts;
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organisation;
  • Act as a business partner to CIB teams by providing structure, coordination, insights and operational support;
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of

EITHER

  • An Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Management or equivalent;
  • At least 5 years’ experience within the banking sector with solid exposure to CIB environments;

OR

  • At least 7 years’ experience within the banking sector.

AND

You will need to demonstrate the following

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex information and drive clarity;
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across the CIB value chain;
  • Proven ability to support cross-functional initiatives, manage dependencies and drive timely execution;
  • Strong organisation, discipline and attention to detail in managing governance, performance routines and follow-ups;
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment, balancing strategic priorities with operational realities;
  • Sound understanding of governance, performance tracking and business coordination within a CIB environment.
  • A combination of both qualification & experience will be considered.
