About the Job
An opportunity has arisen for Electrical Lead Technician - Engineering to join Jumeirah Jabal Omar .
The main duties and responsibilities of this role
- Lead and supervise the Electrical Engineering team during daily operations, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response.
- Carry out and supervise PPM of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, electrical panels, and associated distribution systems.
- Coordinate and assist specialist contractors during planned preventive maintenance, testing, inspection, and commissioning of switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, ATS, and other critical electrical equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and PPM of all hotel’s electrical panels, including Guest Rooms, Residences, Front of House, Back of House, plant rooms, kitchens, retail areas, and common areas.
- Prepare and monitor Hotel HLP and Retail HLP readings, investigate abnormal readings, and report significant variations in consumption or load.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of the hotel's electrical single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, panel schedules, cable routes, and distribution systems to support effective troubleshooting.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a Team Leader or Senior Technician position within a luxury 5-star hotel or large commercial facility.
- Strong practical experience with MV/LV switchgear, transformers, MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, generators, ATS, UPS, and electrical distribution systems.
- Excellent knowledge of electrical SLDs, layouts, panel schedules, and distribution systems.
- Proficient in English and able to work independently in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
