Job Description
The Global Interchange and Pricing team at Visa is responsible for managing interchange and pricing with the objectives of leveraging economics to maximize Visa network participation and therefore drive revenue growth of Visa’s network.
The Analyst, US Acceptance Deals Strategy, will support workstreams focused on acceptance deal pricing and strategy. You will help develop economic frameworks and tools to support our business on our most strategic deals. The position requires the ability to apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve business problems, and quickly arrive at recommendations that drive corporate priorities. Your work will be highly visible to leadership and will drive key insights for management discussions.
Essential Functions
- Provide rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses in support of identifying and vetting opportunities to drive Visa’s revenue
- Develop pricing and deal constructs for acceptance agreements with merchants and payment service providers
- Manage various aspects of deal lifecycle and deal management, including business case development, stakeholder impact assessments, internal management approvals, support for contract negotiations, and operations in post deal execution
- Work with cross-functional teams (product, finance, legal, sales, etc) to execute across deals and other strategic initiatives
- Build and maintain business landscape knowledge, to provide foundational context for pricing initiatives
- Communicate and build support for recommendations among business leaders across the organization
- Participate in continuous training with other functions in the Interchange & Pricing Strategy team
This is a hybrid position to be located in either our San Francisco, CA office location. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Superior analytical, financial modeling and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
- Ability to handle multiple project work streams, with proven success in synthesizing large data sets related to a wide variety of functional business problems.
- Ability to work independently, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to build rigorous, fact-bases that support recommendations to senior management, other executive management
- Eagerness to work intensively in joint teams with personnel of all levels to accomplish project objectives.
- Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages in written and verbal communications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- SQL experience
Information for US Applicants
For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $104,900.00 to $ 163,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements
This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
