Through our Unite function, we're bringing together multiple strategic initiatives into a single transformation programme focused on simplifying our technology landscape and supporting the migration of millions of customers onto a unified target technology stack across Retail and Small Business Banking.

What’s the role?

As part of this journey we are seeking a Release Management Readiness Lead to join the leadership team responsible for helping deliver one of the Bank's most significant transformation initiatives. This is a rare opportunity to take on a highly visible role with exposure to senior executives and board-level governance forums while influencing outcomes that will impact millions of customers.

This is a rare opportunity to join the leadership team delivering one of the largest transformation programmes in Australian banking. As Release Management Readiness Lead, you'll sit at the centre of the Unite programme, providing the only end-to-end view across all Release Trains and helping guide critical decisions that impact millions of customers.

Working closely with senior leaders and executives, you'll help ensure the organisation is prepared for major release and migration events, while providing the insights, governance and coordination required to support successful programme delivery and outcomes regularly reported through Executive and Board governance forums.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Providing enterprise-wide oversight across all Release Trains, ensuring integrated planning, dependency management and delivery alignment across the programme.
  • Establishing and embedding release governance, reporting and readiness practices that support successful customer migration outcomes.
  • Overseeing major release events, including planning, readiness assessments, implementation support, hypercare and lessons learned reviews.
  • Delivering executive-level insights, communications and reporting to support informed decision-making across the programme.
  • Building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders across Business, Technology and Transformation to drive outcomes in a complex delivery environment.
  • What do I need?
  • We're looking for a transformation leader who thrives in complex enterprise environments and enjoys bringing together people, plans and priorities to deliver large-scale change.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale technology simplification, migration, transformation or divestment programmes.
  • Strong release management, programme integration and enterprise planning expertise within highly complex organisations.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional dependencies and coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams.
  • The ability to operate strategically while remaining closely connected to delivery and execution.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and executives to support complex decision-making and drive programme outcomes.

You'll be recognised as a trusted and influential leader with a passion for transformation and organisational change. Combining strong executive presence with a highly collaborative approach, you'll build trusted relationships across Business, Technology and Transformation teams, influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and confidently navigate ambiguity, pressure and competing priorities.

Most importantly, you'll bring the resilience, judgement and leadership capability required to help deliver one of Australia's most significant banking transformation programmes.
