  • Define and execute the DBSS Platform strategy, architecture, roadmap, operating model, budget, and governance framework.
  • Lead planning, design, implementation, and operations for server hardware, Linux/UNIX and Windows operating-system platforms, storage, enterprise backup, virtualization, microservices, and private/public cloud platforms.
  • Ensure highly available, secure, resilient, and high-performing infrastructure services that support business continuity and stakeholder requirements.
  • Own platform capacity planning, lifecycle management, modernization, disaster recovery, data protection, restoration, and retention strategies.
  • Lead platform projects, production changes, major-incident response, risk mitigation, and continuous service improvement in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Drive compliance with ISO, SOX, cyber-security, system-hardening, VAPT, internal-audit, incident, problem, change, demand, and capacity-management requirements.
  • Lead budgeting, procurement, technical and commercial evaluation, contract and AMC management, vendor governance, SLA performance, renewals, warranty, support, lifecycle planning, and cost optimization for servers, storage, SAN switches, network switches, routers, firewalls, DLP, and other network-security products.
  • Build a high-performance team through clear priorities, coaching, workload management, capability development, succession planning, and regular performance feedback.

Academic Qualification

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or another IT-related discipline from a recognized university.

Job Experience Required

  • 10–12 years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture, planning, and operations, preferably within telecommunications or another large enterprise.
  • At least 5–6 years of experience in a managerial or senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end service delivery across Linux/UNIX, Windows, on-premises, and cloud infrastructure, including build, test, transition, and run.
  • Demonstrated experience in platform service management, solution design, project delivery, documentation, risk management, quality assurance, and vendor governance.
  • Hands-on managerial experience in hardware and security-product contract management covering servers, storage, SAN switches, network switches, routers, firewalls, DLP, warranties, AMCs, licenses, renewals, support entitlement, and vendor SLA governance.
  • Experience with enterprise IT, cloud, microservices, OSS/ESS/DSS/BSS environments, and telecom service-management processes is preferred.

Required Capabilities

  • Expert knowledge of virtualization, Linux/UNIX and Windows platforms, cloud, containerization and microservices, storage, enterprise backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong capability in infrastructure architecture, capacity planning, high availability, load balancing, performance optimization, security, and lifecycle management.
  • Advanced understanding of IT service management, operational automation, incident/problem/change management, and SLA/KPI governance.
  • Proven experience with ISO, SOX, cyber-security, hardening, VAPT, internal audit, and risk-management controls.
  • Strong budgeting, procurement, commercial evaluation, negotiation, and contract-management skills, including AMC, warranty, license, renewal, support-entitlement, vendor-performance, and cost-optimizations governance across infrastructure and security products.
  • Sound knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, containerization and SRE .
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, presentation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements and technology trends into practical, scalable, and future-ready platform roadmaps.
