  • Plan, lead, and operate DBSS platform services covering Linux/UNIX/Windows OS administration, SAN, storage, backup, microservices, Kubernetes/OpenShift, hardware infrastructure, monitoring, and platform security.
  • Ensure stable, secure, compliant, and resilient platform operations with strong focus on system uptime, service performance, capacity optimization, data protection, and business continuity.
  • Lead day-to-day platform operations, incident handling, change execution, quarterly audit support, monitoring, capacity management, and service improvement activities in line with SLA/OLA expectations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, OEMs, auditors, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and VEON/business units to deliver operational, project, compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Define and execute platform technology roadmaps based on stakeholder needs, technology trends, business growth, capacity forecast, and security requirements.
  • Implement new IT platform infrastructure projects across OS, SAN, storage, backup, virtualization, and microservice platforms to support divisional and organizational objectives.
  • Configure, validate, and improve backup, restore, disaster recovery, data archiving, and business continuity processes to ensure data integrity, recoverability, and regulatory support.
  • Support budget planning, capacity forecasting, supplier price evaluation, purchase scheduling, and cost optimization while ensuring business requirements are met.
  • Provide people leadership by guiding, coaching, mentoring, and developing team members, ensuring workload balance, productivity, engagement, performance feedback, and succession readiness.
  • Maintain strong audit, information security, compliance, process documentation, SOP, evidence management, and governance practices across DBSS platform services.

Academic Qualification

  • Graduate in CSE or B.Sc. in Engineering from any UGC approved University

Job Experience Required

  • 5–6 years of relevant enterprise IT experience in OS system administration, hardware infrastructure architecture, design, planning, and operations.
  • 3–4 years of proven experience in UNIX/Linux system administration, SAN/storage & Virtualization, server infrastructure, and platform operations.
  • Experience in leading operational teams, implementing infrastructure projects, supporting audits/compliance, and managing business-critical platform services with high availability requirements.

Required Capabilities

  • Advanced knowledge of operating systems, SAN, backup administration, cloud services, and enterprise platform operations.
  • Hands-on expertise in UNIX/Linux administration, package management, user administration, clustering, process tuning, memory optimization, and shell scripting.
  • In-depth understanding of microservices, Kubernetes/OpenShift, backup and data protection platforms, monitoring, security threats, firewall concepts, and mitigation processes.
  • Practical experience in LAN/WAN troubleshooting, platform monitoring, network monitoring, operations handling, and policy/process implementation.
  • Capability to plan and execute system migrations, upgrades, DR/BCP activities, and service transformation with minimal downtime for business-critical services.
  • Strong knowledge of information security, IT audit, ISO/SOX/ITGC compliance, evidence management, SOP preparation, and audit finding closure.
  • Experience in RFP support, budgeting, capacity planning, vendor/OEM coordination, SLA governance, regulatory support, and stakeholder communication.
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes, especially incident, problem, change, availability, and service continuity management.
  • People leadership capability including coaching, team engagement, workload distribution, performance feedback, skill development, and succession planning.
