This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Communications Administrator based in Brazil.
This role offers the opportunity to provide senior-level technical leadership across complex enterprise network and communications <environments.You> will help design, implement, maintain, and optimize highly reliable connectivity across distributed LAN, MAN, and WAN infrastructures.The position combines hands-on network administration, advanced troubleshooting, security, monitoring, and modernization <initiatives.You> will work with technologies spanning routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, content filtering, and network monitoring platforms.A key focus will be maintaining secure, high-performance connectivity across geographically distributed and bandwidth-constrained <environments.You> will also contribute to technical documentation, incident resolution, infrastructure improvements, and knowledge sharing across technical teams.This is a strong opportunity for an experienced networking professional who thrives in complex environments and takes ownership of critical infrastructure.
Accountabilities
- Provide advanced technical support for network planning, maintenance, implementation, and optimization across enterprise WAN environments.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware including Cisco ISR, Nexus, Catalyst, ASA, and wireless controller platforms.
- Maintain the stability, availability, security, and performance of distributed LAN, MAN, and WAN environments.
- Support connectivity across diverse last-mile technologies, including satellite and other network service solutions.
- Configure and optimize routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and related network services.
- Support the deployment, administration, and optimization of network monitoring platforms such as Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, ACS, ISE, and LiveAction.
- Maintain and support network security and content-filtering technologies, including Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, Zscaler, and BlueCoat.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, incident investigation, and root-cause analysis for complex network issues.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for escalated incidents and critical connectivity problems across the enterprise.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to regional technicians and other network support staff.
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation covering network configurations, architecture, procedures, and troubleshooting processes.
- Contribute to network modernization, optimization, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Produce incident resolution reports, performance assessments, security configurations, and recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
- Proven experience configuring, deploying, administering, and supporting large-scale enterprise network environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking platforms, including ISR, Nexus, Catalyst, ASA, and wireless technologies.
- Solid knowledge of enterprise routing, switching, wireless networking, firewalls, WAN connectivity, and network security.
- Demonstrated experience supporting distributed LAN, MAN, and WAN environments, including geographically dispersed or bandwidth-constrained locations.
- Experience with network monitoring and management platforms such as Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, ISE, ACS, and LiveAction.
- Experience supporting network security and content-filtering solutions such as Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, Zscaler, and BlueCoat.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities, with the ability to diagnose complex infrastructure issues under pressure.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing technical issues, and maintain service continuity in high-pressure environments.
- Strong organizational, documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical teams and communicate complex network issues clearly.
- Previous leadership, mentoring, or technical team guidance experience is considered an asset.
- Cisco networking certifications such as CCNP or CCIE are considered an asset.
- Network security certifications and additional training in network monitoring, WAN optimization, or security platforms are also advantageous.
