Social Media Manager for X

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Social Media Manager for X based in Mexico.

This is an opportunity to become the voice of a fast-growing crypto platform on X and play a central role in shaping its presence within Crypto <Twitter.You> will monitor conversations, trends, memes, and breaking news to identify opportunities for timely and engaging content.The role combines community management, social copywriting, content creation, and hands-on engagement with users and industry <voices.You> will work closely with marketing and product teams to bring campaigns to life while maintaining a distinctive and authentic brand voice.The ideal candidate is deeply immersed in crypto culture, understands how online communities communicate, and knows what makes content <resonate.You> will have significant creative ownership and the opportunity to help define how a widely used crypto product participates in the conversation.This role is suited to a social-native professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment and can move quickly when the feed demands it.

Accountabilities

• Monitor X trends, conversations, breaking news, memes, competitors, and influential accounts to identify opportunities for timely and relevant content.
• Build and maintain an active presence within the Crypto Twitter community through thoughtful, entertaining, and strategic replies.
• Develop relationships with influencers, creators, brands, users, and other relevant members of the crypto ecosystem.
• Create engaging social content that reflects the brand voice, communicates product value, and resonates with the target community.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to translate product launches, campaigns, and initiatives into compelling content for X.
• Develop social copy, memes, and other creative formats designed to increase engagement, awareness, and community participation.
• Stay highly responsive to rapidly developing conversations and news, adapting working hours when necessary to capitalize on important moments.
• Contribute ideas and expertise across broader marketing initiatives where additional strengths in content, social, or creative marketing can add value.
• Help continuously refine the brand's voice, tone, and social media strategy based on community feedback, performance, and emerging trends.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, formats, and community-building principles.
• Strong knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain, and Crypto Twitter culture, with genuine familiarity with the community and its language.
• Demonstrated experience building, managing, or actively engaging a social media following on X.
• Strong social copywriting skills and the ability to create concise, entertaining, culturally relevant content.
• Experience creating memes and understanding the formats, humor, references, and conventions that perform well within online crypto communities.
• Strong awareness of current crypto narratives, influential personalities, projects, communities, and industry developments.
• Ability to identify opportunities quickly and respond to fast-moving conversations without compromising quality or brand alignment.
• Strong communication, creativity, judgment, and community engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and adapt priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
• Basic graphic design and video editing skills are a plus.
• Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Reddit, or other social platforms is a plus.
• Additional marketing capabilities, such as content writing or broader content strategy, are also welcome.
