About The Role

Finance Specialist

  • We are looking for a Finance Specialist to manage the full accounting, tax compliance, and
  • financial reporting activities for our Spanish legal entity within an international manufacturing
  • group. This role serves as a key finance partner, ensuring accurate financial reporting,
  • regulatory compliance, effective treasury management, and continuous improvement of finance
  • processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Close

  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare and post accounting entries including depreciation, payroll, accruals, loan interest, and foreign exchange adjustments.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Monitor and review operating expenses, provisions, and intercompany transactions.
  • Support the preparation of statutory and management financial reports.

Tax & Compliance

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of indirect and direct tax filings.
  • Coordinate tax reporting activities with external advisors and local authorities.
  • Support corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with local accounting and tax regulations.

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for group consolidation.
  • Reconcile financial data between local accounting systems and group reporting tools.
  • Provide analysis and supporting documentation for management and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external standards.

Treasury & Cash Management

  • Support cash management and liquidity planning activities.
  • Coordinate intercompany funding, cash pooling, and netting processes.
  • Monitor foreign exchange transactions and hedging activities.
  • Assist in managing relationships with banking partners and group treasury.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Act as Key User for SAP Finance (FI/CO), supporting users and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in finance transformation and system implementation projects.
  • Maintain finance process documentation and support best-practice adoption across the organization.

Audit & Internal Controls

  • Support external and internal audit activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control requirements and finance policies.
  • Review financial data integrity and monitor key control processes.
  • Contribute to risk mitigation and governance initiatives.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
  • Experience working in an international or multinational environment.
  • SAP FI/CO experience is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
