About The Role
DescriptionJob Purpose
- The MS Therapist (Unlicensed) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients under the supervision of a licensed therapist. The role involves supporting individuals with mental health challenges, facilitating their journey towards improved emotional and psychological well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Collaborate with licensed therapists to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and adherence to treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, progress, and treatment outcomes.
- Participate in case consultations and team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment strategies.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health therapy and integrate new knowledge into practice.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
QualificationsRequired Education
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Required Experience
- Experience working in a behavioral health setting, preferably with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
- Familiarity with therapeutic techniques and interventions used in counseling and psychotherapy.
- Experience in case management and developing treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and standards in the field.
- Proficient in assessment and diagnostic skills to evaluate client needs and progress.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care, with a commitment to supporting individuals in their mental health journey.
