About The Role

As an HVAC Engineer , you will be responsible for overseeing HVAC engineering activities across the project.

Your main responsibilities will include

  • Manage the issuance, review and approval of HVAC engineering technical documentation.
  • Ensure that all Project HSE requirements are integrated and consistently applied throughout HVAC design activities.
  • Monitor the engineering development and progress of HVAC systems delivered by contractors and package vendors.
  • Review engineering and vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications, Statement of Requirements (SOR), HSE requirements and applicable international standards.
  • Supervise engineering contractors performing detailed HVAC design, ensuring compliance with cost, schedule, quality and safety requirements .
  • Develop and review HVAC engineering deliverables and ensure consistency across technical documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for design optimisation, standardisation and cost savings .
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines on constructability and operational interfaces, including 3D model reviews .
  • Participate in HAZOP studies, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and vendor inspections when required.
  • Ensure the quality and completeness of final HVAC documentation before handover to Operations.
  • Master's degree / Bac+5 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering or a related discipline .
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant HVAC engineering experience within Oil & Gas, LNG or large-scale EPC/industrial projects.
  • Strong experience with HVAC systems operating in classified and hazardous areas , including Zone Classification, ATEX or equivalent requirements.
  • Good knowledge of international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, API and ISO .
  • Experience reviewing HVAC technical documentation, including data sheets, calculation notes, P&IDs, layouts and vendor documentation.
  • Proven experience supervising engineering contractors and package vendors.
  • Experience with FAT, vendor inspections, HAZOP studies, multidisciplinary design reviews and constructability assessments .
  • Chartered Engineer, PE registration or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Proactive and safety-oriented mindset.

Location: Milan, Italy

Working Schedule: Resident position – 5 days per week

Starting Date: 1 September 2026

  • Mission Duration: 12 months
  • Languages: French and English required. Additional languages are an advantage.
