Freestanding ER Part-Time PRN RN – Days or Nights

Ascent Emergency Medical Center located near the Texas Medical Center is seeking experienced Part-Time and PRN Emergency Medicine Registered Nurses to join our team .

Responsibilities

• Triage patients accurately to ensure timely and appropriate care.
• Perform comprehensive assessments on adult, pediatric, obstetric, and geriatric patients.
• Carry out physician orders within the scope of practice.
• Recognize and respond to medical emergencies.
• Conduct laboratory testing and report results.
• Maintain accurate documentation throughout patient treatment.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Stay up to date with medications, administration protocols, and emergency procedures .
• Oversee medication management , including narcotic reconciliation .
• Assist with supply oversight and management .

Requirements

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program .
• Current Texas RN license in good standing.
• Minimum two years of ER experience (Adult and Pediatric required).
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications (must be current).
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a high-acuity environment .
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills .
