This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced partnerships leader to shape the future of HCF’s national sponsorship portfolio while leading and developing a high-performing team.

Working within our Brand, Content & Partnerships team, you’ll oversee some of Australia’s most recognised partnerships, including Netball Australia and the Royal Flying Doctor Service, helping deliver innovative campaigns and experiences that strengthen our brand, create meaningful community impact and support our business strategy.

About the role

This is a genuine leadership opportunity. Reporting to the Brand & Partnerships Lead, you’ll lead a team of 2-3 Partnerships Specialists , creating an environment where people are empowered, accountable and supported to do their best work.

You’ll balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, leading the development and execution of HCF’s partnership strategy while managing relationships with high-profile national partners, agencies and senior internal stakeholders.

From integrated marketing campaigns and major activations through to contract negotiations, commercial outcomes and team development, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our partnerships continue to deliver exceptional value for both HCF and our partners.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of Partnerships Specialists, creating a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Drive HCF’s national partnerships strategy across major sponsorships including Netball Australia and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
  • Develop integrated partnership and sponsorship campaigns spanning brand, digital, social, media, events, retail and internal communications.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior executives, external partners and agency partners.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, partnership renewals and governance processes.
  • Identify new opportunities to maximise the value and impact of HCF’s sponsorship portfolio.
  • Manage budgets, performance reporting and partnership evaluation.
  • Champion partnerships across the organisation, embedding best practice and driving collaboration across Marketing, Digital, Sales, Legal, Research & Insights and Member Health.

About you

You’re an accomplished partnerships professional who combines commercial thinking with authentic people leadership. Most importantly, you’re someone who genuinely enjoys leading people and knows how to bring out the best in a team.

We’re looking for someone who has

  • Proven experience leading and developing teams , including direct people management of 2-3 or more team members .
  • A strong track record coaching, mentoring and building high-performing, engaged teams.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in sponsorship, partnerships, brand marketing or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success developing and delivering partnership strategies that achieve commercial and brand outcomes.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including contract negotiation, rights management and budget ownership.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.

Experience within health, not-for-profit or purpose-led organisations is advantageous, as is experience across corporate social responsibility, community investment or social impact partnerships.
