Training Provided ! No prior certification as an Impaired Driving Program Director is required. The successful candidate will complete the required DMV training upon hire.
The successful candidate will lead our Impaired Driver Program (IDP). This is an opportunity to lead a specialized education program while making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and our community.
They will serve as Hope House's NYS DMV-designated Impaired Driver Program Director (IDP Director) and will provide leadership and oversight of the program, including compliance, instructor support, scheduling, documentation, participant enrollment, and program operations.

This position offers the opportunity to use your leadership, education, counseling, or human-services experience in a specialized program within an established substance use treatment organization.
The core schedule will be during weekday hours; however, occasional evening hours may be required based on programming needs.
Job Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Pay Range: $29.04 – $30.53 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
What You'll Do
As the Impaired Driver Program Director, you will
- Provide leadership, administration, and operational oversight of the Impaired Driver Program.
- Ensure compliance with NYS DMV requirements, regulations, and program standards.
- Supervise, train, and support IDP instructors in the delivery of approved curriculum.
- Oversee participant enrollment, scheduling, documentation, records, and program reporting.
- Monitor program operations, compliance, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain effective communication with the DMV, IDP stakeholders, and the IDP Directors Association.
- Facilitate IDP classes as needed and support participants throughout the program.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Collaborate with Hope House leadership and perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid driver’s license;
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- The ability to meet all NYS DMV requirements for an Impaired Driver Program Director, to include completing the Prime for Life training upon hire.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff and community partners.
Ideal candidates will have
- An associate degree or higher preferred.
- Experience facilitating groups, trainings, or classes preferred.
