Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Metal Fabrication Machine Operator to join a production team specializing in structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication. This position involves operating fabrication equipment, producing quality parts from technical drawings, and supporting a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate press brakes, shears, and related fabrication equipment to cut and form metal components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production work orders.
  • Measure, mark, and lay out materials using tape measures, squares, levels, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Inspect completed parts to verify dimensions and overall quality.
  • Move materials safely throughout the shop using forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Follow safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Work with the production team to meet daily manufacturing goals.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience operating press brakes, shears, or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Experience with structural steel or miscellaneous metal fabrication.
  • Knowledge of layout and precision measuring tools.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to workplace safety.
