BUILDING SEAMLESS LEGAL OPERATIONS FOR AN AI-NATIVE TEAM

Circle is seeking a part-time contractor to join its dynamic legal function, supporting the company’s mission to drive innovation in digital finance. This role is central to maintaining the efficiency and clarity of Circle’s vendor contract review process, with the potential to expand into deal desk support for Sales and Customer Success teams as capacity allows. The contractor will also provide essential holiday coverage, ensuring continuity of legal operations.

The ideal candidate brings experience from fast-paced environments, preferably within tech startups or scale-ups, and excels at delivering clear, actionable advice through platforms like Slack. Strong negotiation skills are required, particularly with SaaS, privacy, AI contracting, and general commercial agreements. Hands-on experience with AI is essential, as Circle’s legal team is AI-native and committed to building better processes and playbooks for scalable, efficient legal support. The ability to operate independently, balance risk with business needs, and work during US Eastern Time hours is critical.
