About The Role
Seeking Battery Manufacturing Technician with at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment to support our team operating cell assembly equipment, building production orders, and participating in cell testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Qualified Candidates will be able to support the following
- Follow work instructions for assembly of battery cells, operation of semi-automated pouch cell assembly pilot line, and testing of battery cells
- Prepare chemical solutions and mixtures
- Make and report detailed observations from the work described above
- Setup standard test apparatus for cell and/or battery testing
- Help maintain battery cell production and test equipment.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues using resources such as engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, technical specifications, and instruction manuals
- Regularly work in a dry room (≤-40°C dew point) environment
- Work with mechanical design and machining staff to produce new tooling and fixtures for battery production equipment
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
- Commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work in a safe manner
- Execute with a strong attention to detail

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years industry experience in a manufacturing environment preferred or 3 years in battery manufacturing

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

We are expanding our battery production capabilities and are seeking a technician to support our transition from R&D to production. As a manufacturing technician you will work on next generation battery cells to support the challenging performance demands of our warfighters. You will leverage your experience to work with our engineering team to operate cell assembly equipment, build production orders, and participate in cell testing. You will work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure process repeatability, safety, and continuous improvement. This position requires a high level of independent thought and execution combined with good communication and collaboration skills.
