About The Role

As a Korean Linguistic Consultant for this project, you will support an upcoming Korean voice recording session at a studio in Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul.

Your primary responsibility will be to support the voice artist during the recording sessions by providing linguistic guidance and ensuring pronunciation and language quality. This data will later be used for AI training purposes.

This is a hands-on, in-studio role. You will work alongside the recording engineer and voice talent to guide pronunciation, delivery, and consistency throughout the sessions.

⚠️ FIXED DATES – NOT NEGOTIABLE

Candidates must be fully available on-site in Seoul, August 17–28 (excluding the 18th and 23rd), 1–5 PM KST. A possible additional session on August 29 may be added depending on progress in the preceding sessions. Please do not apply if you cannot commit to these dates in full — partial availability cannot be accommodated.

What You'll Do

—Understand the client's speech requirements, including conversational speaking style, consistent pace, natural intonation, and clear pronunciation — extending beyond individual words to phrase-level delivery, prosody, and other phonetic characteristics of the Korean language.

—Maintain the reference speech style the client provides as the baseline throughout the recording sessions. If the voice artist deviates from the expected standard, guide them back to the reference and ensure consistency across all recordings.

—Identify pronunciation or delivery issues at the phoneme, word, or phrase level, provide corrective feedback to the voice talent, and ensure the required retakes are completed.

—Review the pronunciation of non-Korean words or phrases (such as English) to ensure they are spoken clearly while maintaining the expected native-language influence where appropriate.

—Work closely with the recording engineer and voice artist to ensure linguistic accuracy, naturalness, pronunciation consistency, and adherence to the recording guidelines.

—Make modifications to the recording script whenever required to ensure the content is grammatically, syntactically, and semantically correct while preserving the intended meaning and recording objectives.

  • —Strong understanding of Korean phonetics, pronunciation, grammar, prosody, and linguistics.
  • —Demonstrable voice coaching experience, especially in marketing, commercial, dubbing, or similar areas.
  • —Experience supporting speech data collection, TTS/ASR, speech technology, or voice AI projects.
  • —Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with an international team.

Backgrounds We Welcome

  • —Speech technology and voice AI (TTS/ASR data collection, training virtual assistants such as Siri or Alexa).
  • —Entertainment and media (dubbing, animation, film/TV voiceover, audiobook narration).
