The Opportunity
USAFRICOM is seeking a Solutions Engineer who will serve as a technical leader within the Engineering group, responsible for translating business objectives into executable engineering solutions. This role requires a strategic mindset combined with hands-on technical expertise to drive integrated engineering initiatives from conception through implementation. This position is onsite daily in Stuttgart, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Chair the Integrated Engineering Working Group for assigned demands and projects
- Evaluate business objectives and translate them into technical solutions
- Assess skill requirements and resource needs for solution execution
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering disciplines and stakeholders
- Create comprehensive Demand technical assessment packages and present recommendations to the Requirements Review Board
- Partner with Project Managers on project charter development and milestone planning
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and design reviews
- Elicit, analyze, and document requirements from diverse stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop detailed Engineering Design Plans
- Present design solutions and technical recommendations to leadership
- Serve as primary technical liaison between business units and engineering teams
- Partner with the Chief Engineer and other Solutions Engineers to develop and refine engineering processes
- Contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and methodologies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the organization
Qualifications
Required
- Currently hold an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
- Have either a Bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience, an Associate's Degree and 7 years' experience or a High School Diploma and 11 years of experience.
- Demonstrated solution development expertise
- Knowledge of engineering design processes and standards
- Experience with project management methodologies
- Experience with requirements management and technical documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is
$90,300 - 189,600 USD
