Senior Specialist, Infrastructure

• Main Duties & Responsibilities

Job Summary

• Provides expert-level engineering support for the organization's IT infrastructure, including design, implementation, and maintenance of systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust and scalable IT infrastructure solutions.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex infrastructure issues and outages.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring uptime and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects.
• Implement security measures to protect infrastructure components from threats.
• Develop and document infrastructure architecture and processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Research and recommend new technologies for infrastructure enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.
• Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning exercises.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms ( AWS , Azure) and virtualization technologies.
• Extensive knowledge of server management, networking, and system security.
• Familiarity with ITIL and other relevant governance frameworks.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are preferred.
• Strong documentation skills, with experience in architecture diagrams and technical writing.
• Understanding of database management and web server technologies (e.g., IIS, NGinX).
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
