About The Role

  • Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.

  • Performs and assists cardiologists with all echocardiograms (2-D, M-Mode, TEE, Fetal)
  • Prepares an accurate preliminary echocardiogram report for the cardiologist
  • Maintains an adequate level of supplies in the department.
  • Assures that the equipment is in good working order.
  • Communicates with appropriate personnel regarding department and exams done.
  • Assists the cardiologists as needed
  • Participates in departmental and hospital wide Process Improvement.
  • Ensures that generic/unit safety measures are met in the department.
  • Travels to out of town clinics as needed.
  • Rotates 24 hour on call duties.

Education and/or Experience

  • Registry in Sonography (ARDMS or RCVT) or Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school one year allowance to obtain registry

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations.

  • Registered Echo Tech, (ARDMS or CCI) or Registry eligible
  • BLS (AHA)
