Senior Systems Programmer

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mainframe Systems Programmer to join our Experian IT Services function. Within the team, you will be responsible for the support of z/OS operating system and related infrastructure; Vendor supplied software and hardware configuration.

Key Responsibilities

• z/OS system software installation, maintenance, configuration and support
• ISV software installation, maintenance, configuration and support.
• Mainframe hardware configuration

Skills and Technology Requirements

SME level understanding and experience on the following components

• ·         z/OS installation, maintenance, configuration and support
• ·         ISV software installation, maintenance, configuration and support - especially BMC products
• ·         HCD and experience of z16, virtual tape and disk infrastructure
• ·         SMPE
• ·         Parallel sysplex

Understanding and exposure to the following

• ·         CICS / DB2 / VSAM
• ·         Storage management CICS / DB2 / VSAM
• ·         BMC software stack especially Control-M and AMI OPS products
• ·         Security RACF
• ·         Assembler and user exit coding
• ·         Performance and capacity management
• ·         Unix Systems Services

Experience

• 10+ years experience of z/OS systems programming
• Excellent problem solving skills combined with a passion for continuous improvement
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
