OTA - Certified Occupational Therapist

• Benchmark Therapy and Rehab, a large therapy practice in Ohio is looking for a full time and consistent PRN COTA to join our practice.
• RESPONSIBILITIES: The Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) shall be directly supervised by an OT and Therapy Coordinator.

• Responsibilities:
• Assist Occupational therapists in providing therapy services to patients in their home.
• Implement treatment plans and interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Help patients develop or regain daily living skills and functional abilities in their home setting.
• Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises
• Note: License as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required for this position.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
• Experience in home care setting is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients , their caregivers and healthcare team members
• Ability to adapt to different patient needs and modify treatment plans accordingly based on their home environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during therapy sessions
