ABOUT THE COMPANY

Rise Power Systems is a manufacturer-in-launch of UL 845 Motor Control Centers, UL 1558 Metal-Enclosed Switchgear, and Modular E-House solutions. We combine structural and sheet metal fabrication expertise with purpose-built electrical assembly to deliver pre-engineered power infrastructure for industrial, oil & gas, water/wastewater, and utility markets.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure products comply with applicable regulatory, safety, and industry standards (UL, CSA, IEC, NEC, IEEE, and related requirements).
  • Lead product certification activities with third-party agencies, including testing, documentation, and issue resolution.
  • Review electrical and mechanical designs to identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions early in the development process.
  • Develop and execute compliance test plans, coordinating internal validation and external certification testing.
  • Interpret evolving regulatory standards and communicate impacts to engineering, product management, and manufacturing teams.
  • Maintain compliance documentation, certification records, declarations of conformity, and technical files throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams by evaluating engineering changes and ensuring continued regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive timely product launches while minimizing certification delays and compliance-related risks.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product compliance, regulatory engineering, or electrical product certification.
  • Strong knowledge of UL, CSA, IEC, NEC, IEEE, and other applicable electrical safety and regulatory standards.
  • Experience working directly with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs) such as UL, Intertek (ETL), or CSA.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve compliance issues.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and project management skills with experience working across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with critical power equipment such as switchgear, switchboards, UPS systems, PDUs, RPPs, or related electrical distribution products preferred.
