The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities

NP or PA

Part time- position available. Monday through Friday, daytime hours

Great opportunity to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team providing care to oncology patients in the Wilmot Cancer Institute, specifically with a focus on patients with multiple myeloma.

The program is seeking a proactive, highly organized clinician with excellent communication and teamwork skills to thrive in our fast-paced outpatient clinic, with the ability to shift priorities. Responsibilities include direct patient care, evaluating and manage acute illnesses and chronic symptoms. Providing comprehensive short-term and long-term follow-up care. Assist with coordination services and provide patient/family education. You will gain experience in clinical trial recruitment, participant in enrollment, and study protocol monitoring. There is opportunity to develop proficiency in some procedures like bone marrow biopsies and working closely with cellular therapy team. Must be NYS eligible for NP certification.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner

Require a Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.

Physician Assistant

Required completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)

NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.
