T HE OPPORTUNITY

Are you an experienced shepherd or someone w ho work s outdoors and is looking to start your career in farming? Either way, we have some scope, so this is an opportunity to join our team a t Pastoral Organic Dairy .

As a shepherd general , you’ll be part of a team , working closely with the farm manager, who will support your growth and development.

Your key responsibilities will include

• Livestock/pasture management and animal health
• General farm maintenance and fencing

This is a drive-in/drive-out position.

You’re passionate about farming, love working with livestock, and want to be part of a team that gets results. You’re practical and always looking for ways to do the job better.

You will

• Enjoy working with animals and take their welfare seriously
• Be comfortable keeping accurate records and using farm technology (or keen to learn)
• Take a proactive approach to health, safety, and looking after farm assets
• Have a valid restricted or full driver licence

T HE PĀMU FARM

Pāmu’s Pastoral Organic Dairy is a 1,032-hectare farming operation spread across four blocks on and around Broadlands Road in Reporoa . The farm supports nearby organic dairy farms by grazing around 1,000 R1s, 1,000 R2s and 1,400 mixed-age cows over winter, as well as producing organic supplement for the wider dairy operation.

You’ll be one of thr ee employees on farm and part of a close-knit wider team that works together across the organic dairy farming system.
