Junior Consultant / Specialist - Colon & Rectal Surgeon

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking a Junior Consultant / Specialist – Colon & Rectal Surgeon to join its multidisciplinary surgical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating disorders of the colon, rectum, and anus while delivering high-quality surgical care in accordance with international clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with colorectal diseases and conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency colorectal surgical procedures.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and provide post-operative care and follow-up.
• Manage benign and malignant colorectal conditions, including colorectal cancers, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, anorectal disorders, and pelvic floor disorders.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical governance and patient safety standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• MS / MD / FRCS / Arab Board or equivalent postgraduate qualification in General Surgery with subspecialty training in Colorectal Surgery.
• Relevant clinical experience in Colon & Rectal Surgery.
• Strong surgical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
