Senior Consultant / Specialist - Cardiothoracic Surgeon in a Leading Hospital

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking a Senior Consultant / Specialist – Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join its surgical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and managing patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions, performing advanced surgical procedures, and delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiac and thoracic diseases.
• Perform elective and emergency cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair and replacement, thoracic aortic surgery, and lung and mediastinal procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and provide post-operative care and follow-up.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, anesthesiologists, pulmonologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment planning.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to established quality and patient safety standards.
• Contribute to clinical governance, research, teaching, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• MS / MD / MCh / DNB / FRCS or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Relevant clinical experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Expertise in adult cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures.
• Strong clinical judgment, surgical skills, and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
