The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The Cluster Business Leader aligned with Solventum medium to long term strategic direction, is responsible for the commercial execution in Brazil, focusing on delivering sustainable and profitable growth. This role involves managing the sales team, clinical specialists´ team and sales operations´ team. This role requires leading with great vision through influencing critical stakeholders such as Marketing, Finance, and MedEd among others.

  • Create and execute comprehensive sales strategies, define the most appropriate go-to market model, aligned with overall company goals, identify market opportunities, and analyze the competitive landscape.
  • Contribute to the creation of strategic and operational plans aligned with business objectives and corporate goals.
  • Utilize internal expertise and market assessments to identify business opportunities to promote incremental sources of growth across various business segments.
  • Includes proper assessment of the regulatory environment to guarantee timely and proper deployment of products and therapies to market.
  • Adjust sales strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Represent the company at the relevant associations and forums related to the healthcare industry in Brazil.
  • Accountable for taking agile business decisions aligned with strategy and operational plan, collaborating with business partner areas and considering impact on company´s resources.
  • Provides direct supervision to assigned employees through leadership, by setting clear expectations, coaching, training, development, allocating work assignments, managing employee compensation, performance appraisals, and providing ongoing performance feedback, ensuring optimal team performance.
  • Build and nurture strong customer relationships by understanding their needs and proactively addressing their concerns, guaranteeing customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Accurately forecast sales performance and monitor key metrics, providing regular reports to senior management on sales activities and results.
  • Establishes regional and national sales goals and objectives.
  • Evaluates and recommends new activities and approaches to improve sales rep performance and results.
  • Negotiate deals with customers to ensure profitable pricing strategies and manage complex sales cycles effectively.
  • Stay informed about market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with marketing, medical education, medical liaison, supply chain, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and support to commercial initiatives.
  • Oversees implementation of Sales Incentive Plans in Brazil and drives organization to standard systems and processes. Provides input and leadership into organizational design and refinements of owned processes for greatest efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Being responsible for country business engagement, contributing to an agile culture based on accountability, connecting cross functional areas to business priorities.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications

  • Bachelor´s degree. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of relevant working experience in sales/management, at Director level, in the healthcare industry.
  • Deep knowledge of the Brazilian MedTech industry, including key drivers, customer segments, and competitive dynamics.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading commercial organizations, high-performance teams, exceeding sales targets to achieve optimal performance.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator and executive presence • Ability to negotiate effectively with customers to close deals and achieve favorable terms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels. And global relations in a high matrix organization, with internal senior executives.
  • Inspirational leadership skills to foster a positive work environment, promote collaboration, and motivate the team.
  • Languages: Portuguese and fluent in English, desirable Spanish.

Travel

Ability to travel up to 40% of the time, both domestically and internationally, including overnight stays.
